We are living in the era of Industry 4.0 and AI-driven transformation, where Generative AI is rapidly reshaping education, workforce development, and institutional strategies. Across the ASEAN region and beyond, educators, policymakers, and institutions face both challenges and opportunities as AI continues to disrupt traditional teaching, learning, and governance models. Institutions that fail to adapt risk being left behind, as AI-powered tools revolutionize pedagogy, assessment, and administrative decision-making.
In an increasingly Vulnerable, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) world, the ability to track and respond to AI advancements in education is critical. Effective governance, AI literacy, and responsible implementation strategies must be developed to ensure that AI serves as an enabler of equity, innovation, and workforce readiness.
The ASEAN Stakeholder Summit on Generative AI for Education 2025 brings together leading researchers, policymakers, educators, and industry experts to examine the core challenges and opportunities presented by AI-driven digital disruption in education. This summit moves beyond high-level discussions, focusing on research-driven solutions, implementation strategies, and policy advancements that will shape the future of AI-powered education across ASEAN.
This year’s conference will explore these pressing issues through six key tracks:

TRACK 1 - Policy, Governance, and Ethical Considerations in AI for Education
This track focuses on issues related to regulatory frameworks, governance models, and ethical challenges associated with the adoption of Generative AI in education. It is crucial to establish responsible policies that ensure transparency, fairness, inclusivity, and data security while fostering innovation.
Conceptual, case-based and empirical papers are welcomed aimed at the following areas:
a. Regulatory frameworks for AI adoption in education
b. Data privacy, security, and intellectual property in AI-driven learning
c. Ethical AI, addressing bias, equity, and inclusivity in AI education
d. ASEAN-wide policies for AI integration in schools and universities
TRACK 2 – AI-Enhanced Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Design
This track hones in on the transformative impact of Generative AI on pedagogy, instructional design, and curriculum development. It explores how AI can be leveraged to personalize learning, enhance instructional strategies, and support inclusive education. Discussions will address both the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into teaching and learning while ensuring accessibility and effectiveness.
Papers addressing innovative ideas, best practices, and future aspirations in this space are welcome, focusing on the following broad sub-themes:
a. Personalization of learning experiences through Generative AI
b. AI as a co-teacher: Applications in instructional design
c. AI-driven curriculum enhancement: Challenges and opportunities
d. The role of AI in Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
TRACK 3 – Generative AI for Assessment and Learning Analytics
This track explores the role of Generative AI in transforming assessment practices and learning analytics and examines how they can enhance assessment models, support academic integrity, and provide data-driven insights to improve learning outcomes. Discussions will also address the challenges, ethical considerations, and best practices in leveraging AI for assessment and analytics.
Papers addressing innovative applications, research findings, and practical implementations in this space are welcome, focusing on the following broad sub-themes:
a. AI-supported assessment models: Adaptive, formative, and summative assessments
b. Generative AI for academic integrity: Plagiarism detection and originality checking
c. Data-driven decision-making in education using AI analytics
d. Case studies on AI-enhanced assessment methods
TRACK 4 – Infrastructure, Digital Readiness, and AI Capacity Building
This track explores the critical infrastructure, digital preparedness, and capacity-building efforts required for the effective adoption of AI in education. It is essential to ensure that educators, students, and institutions are equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support systems. This track examines infrastructure challenges, digital equity, AI literacy, and professional development to bridge the digital divide and promote sustainable AI adoption.

TRACK 5 – AI and the Future of Work: Preparing ASEAN’s Workforce

It examines how AI can be leveraged to enhance technical and vocational education, upskill educators, and foster industry partnerships that align education with workforce needs.
Papers addressing emerging trends, skill development strategies, and best practices in this space are welcome, focusing on the following broad sub-themes:

b. The role of AI in TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training)
c. AI upskilling programs for educators and administrators

TRACK 6 – Research & Innovation in AI for Education
This track highlights cutting-edge research, pilot projects, and innovative applications of AI in education. As Generative AI continues to evolve, its integration into educational settings presents new opportunities and challenges. This track examines the impact of AI on pedagogical methodologies, accessibility, and the future of learning while showcasing research-driven advancements in AI-powered education.
